Interview | Meet Khiza! a.k.a KhizaMusic

I had the privilege of interviewing Khiza from Khiza Music who is an amazing music producer that has worked on a countless number of tracks.  He has launched and produced a number of artists and has 14 albums to his name.  He founded the Khiza Music International Entertainment Organisation and Bluewater Entertainment in the UK.

What motivates/inspires you when producing music?

The things around me and subjects of people's lives or problems.  Just daily things.  I then choose topics which relate to world wide issues or current events.

What inspired you to get into music?

I started as a dancer in a dance group and from there started going studio.  I then got into bollywood remixes.  Back then, Bally Sagoo and Rishi Rich were doing bollywood remixes which inspired me to go into remixing.

What's one of your proudest moments?

When I performed at Wembley Arena a few years back with Soni J.

One of your favourite pieces you worked on?

Meher Ma featuring Hadiqa Kaini is one of my favorite tracks alongside Pyaas and Dheere featuring Zack Knight.

Silly or fun fact about you?

I'm a very bubbly person and always joking around.  That's a huge part of who I am.

Biggest fears?

Losing people.

What is something that most people don't know about you?

I don't smoke or drink, and have never done shisha.

Do you ever get creativity blocks and if so how do you come out of them?

Pray daily.

What is one of your favourite memories?

When an elderly women had said to me 'You are always in my prayers.  Keep up the good work.'

What advice would you give children looking to break out of the norm: law, business, doctor or engineer?

Firstly, it is important to respect your parents and their support is very important.  Only do what makes you happy, but don't rush anything.  Whatever is written for you will happen.  Believe in yourself and your talent will shine.
